Comprehensive Financial Modelling and Business Planning for Hydroponic Cultivation Facility

We developed full consolidated financial models for multiple hydroponic cultivation facilities for an international client, supporting the build-out of a significant asset platform. This project was delivered during a time of great challenge and tremendous diligence for hydroponic facilities, as many had gained a reputation for inflated or unreliable numbers.

Our approach involved thorough research into all aspects of costs and revenues, including local markets, suppliers, recruiters, energy providers, and taxes, to create detailed and well-informed models. These models were designed to withstand rigorous diligence and sensitivity analysis, covering granular details from farm-level capital investment, COGS, and SG&A, to holding company and international ownership levels.

Crucially, we developed a comprehensive business plan to accompany the financial models. This plan meticulously explained all key numbers and assumptions in the models, providing the necessary back-up to support their accuracy and reliability. This dual approach of robust financial modelling and detailed business planning was instrumental in establishing credibility in a challenging market environment.
